Technical SEO
Technical foundations, page-level optimisation and genuine local relevance, delivered as one joined-up plan. These SEO services help Devon businesses earn search visibility that actually reflects what they do and where they work.

What we do
Search visibility rarely comes from a single fix. A site that loads quickly but says little will struggle, and brilliant copy on a site search engines cannot crawl properly will never be seen. Our SEO services treat the technical layer, the page layer and the local layer as parts of the same system, so effort in one area is never undone by a weakness in another.
Every engagement starts by understanding what your business offers, who buys it and how those people search. From there we shape a plan drawn from the four disciplines below, weighted to where your site needs it most. Some businesses need deep technical SEO work on crawling, indexing and site speed; others have a sound platform but pages that never state their subject clearly, which is where on-page optimisation earns its keep.
Devon is not one search market. A professional practice in Exeter, a trade covering North Devon and a hospitality business in Torbay face different competition and different searcher behaviour. That is why location matters throughout our work, from keyword research to the pages we recommend building. You can see how we adapt to each area on our areas we serve pages.

Each discipline can stand alone as a focused project, but they are designed to work together. Most plans combine at least two. Site health work covering crawlability, indexing, page speed, mobile experience and site structure, so search engines can read the site and visitors are not kept waiting. Titles, headings, body copy, internal links and images aligned around one clear topic per page, written for readers first and search systems at the same time. Visibility where your customers actually are: location pages with genuine substance, consistent business details and content that reflects real Devon coverage. A structured review of the whole site with findings explained in plain English and a prioritised roadmap, whether we do the work or your team does.

How it works
We keep the process transparent. You will always know what is being changed, why it is being changed and what we expect it to achieve. The full method, from research through to measurement, is set out on our approach page, but the short version has three stages.
Research into your services, your audiences and the queries they use, plus a review of how your site performs today. If you want this stage as a standalone deliverable, that is exactly what our SEO audit service provides.
The agreed work: technical fixes, rewritten and restructured pages, new location or service pages where a genuine need exists, and internal links that help visitors move naturally between related pages. We never create thin pages just to chase a keyword.
Search performance is reviewed against the goals we set at the start, in language that makes sense to a business owner rather than a dashboard. Recommendations evolve as the results come in.

The through-line
The disciplines reinforce each other in ways piecemeal buying never captures. Technical health makes page improvements measurable; strong pages give local signals something to point at; local substance feeds the topical depth that lifts the whole domain. Buy them separately from separate suppliers and each invoice looks smaller while the compound effect quietly fails to happen. One plan, sequenced properly, is the cheaper option measured by the only number that matters, which is what the visibility eventually returns.

Choosing well
The honest answer depends on where your site is weakest, and you may not be able to tell from the inside. Some patterns are reliable, though. If your pages barely appear in search at all, or rankings collapsed after a redesign, the problem usually sits in the technical layer. If the site is found for its brand name but not for what it sells, the pages themselves are failing to state their subjects, which is on-page territory. If competitors appear for service-and-town searches across areas you also serve, the missing piece is local.
Plenty of sites have overlapping problems, and fixing them in the wrong order wastes money: copy rewritten on a broken platform gets no credit, and technical polish on pages with nothing to say wins nothing. That is why the audit exists as a service in its own right. It settles the order of work with evidence, and the roadmap it produces is valid whoever implements it.
You will not find link-buying schemes, article-spinning, or a fixed monthly bundle of arbitrary tasks here. Work that would not survive being explained to you in plain English does not belong on your website. Equally, we do not take on projects where SEO is the wrong tool: if your market searches too rarely for organic visibility to repay the effort, we would rather tell you that in the first conversation than invoice you for a year first.
Most clients start with either an audit or a tightly scoped first project, see how we work, and then settle into a steadier rhythm of improvement and measurement. Others bring us in alongside an in-house team or web developer, where our role is direction and quality control while implementation stays internal. Both models work because the deliverables are written to stand alone.
